Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Slams U.S. Strike on Iran, Decries Silence on Gaza Genocide

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has strongly condemned the U.S. Military strikes on Iran, declaring it a blatant act of aggression that threatens global peace.

Speaking at the Youth Digital Summit organized by JI’s Media Cell in Islamabad, he also lashed out at continued Israeli atrocities in Gaza and the inaction of Muslim states.

“America has destroyed global peace by attacking Iran,” Hafiz Naeem said. “Just yesterday, Trump claimed he would wait two weeks before taking any action. Instead, he bombed Iran within 24 hours. The U.S. has abandoned all human and moral values; its decline has begun.”

He questioned the justification behind Israel’s strikes on Iran, emphasizing that Iran had not attacked Israel.“Then why was Iran targeted?” he asked, describing both the United States and Israel as “enemies of humanity.”

Turning to the crisis in Gaza, Hafiz Naeem condemned what he called the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. “For two years, Israel has been committing systematic genocide in Gaza. Children are being martyred daily,” he said. “The International Court of Justice has declared Israel guilty, yet no one dares to stop it.”

He criticized the silence and inaction of the Muslim world, pointing out that the combined strength of Muslim countries’ armies stands at 8.8 million personnel.

“Despite such military power, we remain spectators while Palestinian children are slaughtered,” he lamented.

Hafiz Naeem rejected the U.S. and Israeli narrative that labels Palestinian resistance as terrorism. “Hamas’s struggle is legal under international law. Generations of Palestinians have grown up in refugee camps. Hundreds remain imprisoned in Israeli jails, yet the world continues to criminalize their resistance.”

He criticized Pakistan’s government for praising Donald Trump, who was once described by the country’s leadership as a “messenger of peace.” “That same Trump is now dropping bombs weighing over 2,000 kilograms,” he said.

Calling for Muslim unity and a complete break from U.S. influence, Hafiz Naeem urged the youth to raise their voice for truth and justice. “America is not our ally. We must liberate ourselves from its control and that of its local puppets,” he declared. “Only through unity can we resist this oppression.”

The JI chief also urged young people to take an active role in digital activism and global awareness. “Become digital ambassadors. Use every platform to expose injustice and stand with the oppressed,” he said.
