ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami’s landmark Bano Qabil program has rapidly emerged as one of Pakistan’s largest free IT education initiatives, providing thousands of students across the country with modern digital skills. Launched initially in Karachi, the project has now expanded to major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Mansehra, Sargodha, Quetta, Malakand, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi
Under the leadership of Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the program envisions empowering two million youth within two years through free training in high-demand IT fields. So far, over 1.15 million students have registered, reflecting massive national interest in the initiative.
Empowerment through Education
The program focuses on bridging Pakistan’s digital divide by offering completely free, market-relevant IT education to students aged 14 to 30 — regardless of gender or background. It aims to equip participants with skills that enable them to pursue freelance careers, secure local or remote jobs, or start their own tech ventures.
Courses and Structure
Each Bano Qabil course runs for about three months, with two-hour daily classes. Students can choose from a wide range of subjects, including:
- Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI Tools & Concepts)
- Digital Marketing & Freelancing
- Graphic Designing (Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva)
- E-commerce Development
- Mobile App Development (Flutter, Dart)
- Cybersecurity Fundamentals
- Python Programming
Graduates receive certificates upon completion, enhancing their employment and freelancing prospects.
Application Process
Registrations are conducted online through the official Bano Qabil website. After selecting city and course preferences, applicants take an aptitude test, followed by an interview in some cases. A refundable security deposit is collected upon selection to ensure course completion.
