WHO WE ARE
Jamaat-e-Islami is an Islamic movement whose foundations were laid by the esteemed thinker Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi on 26 August, 1941 in Pakistan’s city of Lahore. The journey that started with just 73 members has now taken shape of a global movement exceeding hundreds of thousands of members and supporters. Maulana Syed Abul Ala Mawdudi’s thoughts continue to inspire movements all around the world.
MISSION
Our mission is it promote the ethos of Jama’at-e-Islami Pakistan to the people and institutions of all nations.
We undertake this work through building meaningful collaborations across the world.
Our singular goal is to communicate the benefits of living by Islam and the sharing of divine guidance to all, through positive engagement and constructive dialogue.
In pursuit of this, we will draw on the resources of the world’s leading minds and organisations who share our vision of a world of justice and peace for all.

Asif Luqman Qazi
Director Foreign Affairs
Asif Luqman Qazi is the Director of Foreign Affairs in Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan. He has a diversified experience as an academic, businessman, and a political leader. He has a wide networking exposure of Islamic movements around the world and is also a frequent participant of international conferences on Islamic movements.
He has also worked as Executive Director of CDS (Center for Discussions and Solutions), an Islamabad-based forum that organizes conferences on national and international issues. He has also served as Vice-President of Milli Yakjehti Council Pakistan.
He has Masters degrees in Economics from Boston University and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), and has served as a lecturer of Economics at IIUI. He speaks Pashto, Urdu, English and Arabic. He is based in Islamabad and enjoys trekking in Margallah Hills.
Masood Aijazi CFA
Associate Director Foreign Affairs
Masood Aijazi CFA is the Associate Director Foreign Affairs of Jamaat e Isalmi Pakistan. He has over 35 years’ professional and teaching experience in finance and investment banking. Masood is currently teaching at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi as a visiting faculty member. Masood was the Vice President Strategy & Business Development of NCB Capital for over fourteen years. NCB Capital is the investment banking arm of NCB with AUM of over $23 billion offering a full range of asset & wealth management services.
Masood had been the Investment Advisor of SEDCO Holdings, a leading private wealth management group of Saudi Arabia. Before that, he was the Managing Director of, ZAD Investment Company, an investment management firm investing globally in all asset classes with AUM of over a billion dollars. Mr. Aijazi was also a partner of Los Angeles based management consulting firm, AJZ & Associates. Masood had also worked for CBiz Inc. (NYSE: CBZ) a US leading provider of consulting services specializing in retirement plan management and administration. CBiz has about 4,000 employees in 100 offices across US.
Masood is a CPA, CMA and CFA charter holder. He received his MBA in Finance from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles USA in 1981. He is also a graduate of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi.
Masood is a frequent speaker on Islamic finance, investments, leadership and strategy in international conferences & seminars. Masood has served on the selection committee of the prestigious IDB Prize for Islamic Economics and Finance multiple times. Masood had served as the Head of International Affairs of students’ organization, Isalmi Jamiat Talaba Pakistan
Zubair Malik

Associate Director Foreign Affairs
Zubair Malik is the Associate Director Foreign Affairs of Jamaat e Isalmi Pakistan.
He is a Partner of a Lahore based family run business in the field of Paper and Board.
Zubair is also heading a tech based product with a development team in Pakistan and Sales Operation in the UK.
With over 30 years of experience in Social Entrepreneurship, Zubair heads a Scotland based Radio Station broadcasting in three languages and volunteer base of over 200 young people.
Zubair is an accomplished Radio Journalist with a diverse catalogue of hundreds of Podcasts, Interview Seasons, and Topical Debates to his name.
Lahore born and raised has lived in Scotland for over 27 years and contributed in civic and social affairs of Muslim community through the prolific Muslim representative body MCB.
Currently spending his time in Lahore with a view to add value to the Islamic Revivalist Efforts of Syed Maududis momentous Jamaat E Islami Pakistan.
